The Wolverine Will Feature a Mysterious X-Men Cameo Says Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman has been making the press rounds lately to promote his musical Les Miserables, opening in theaters Christmas Day. The actor recently revealed an intriguing tidbit about his superhero sequel The Wolverine, indicating that one of the characters from X-Men will make an appearance.

"You want to get me into trouble, don't you? [laughs] Okay, the movie takes place after X-Men: The Last Stand. My character is at his lowest. He is supposed to be able to heal himself, but he may encounter someone who has worked out a way to really hurt him. And there is a cameo from one of the past X-Men in it."

Who could the actor be referring to? Will James Marsden be back as Cyclops? Perhaps Halle Berry as Storm? Anna Paquin as Rogue?

James Mangold is directing The Wolverine from a screenplay by Christopher McQuarrie.The Wolverine comes to theaters July 26th, 2013 and stars Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee, Svetlana Khodchenkova. The film is directed by James Mangold.
